ABC News: Teens accused of gruesome murder out of jealousy
East Moline Illinois-16 year old Sarah Kolb and 17 year old Corey Gregory have been charged with the first degree murder of 17 year old Adrianne Reynolds because Kolb did not like the fact that Reynolds was geting a lot of attention from boys at school. Investigators testified at preliminary hearings that Kolb choked and beat Reynolds, then Gregory strangled her with a belt. The pair then allegedly spent 6 hours trying to burn the body with gasoline at a farm in Mercer County but failed. They then enlisted the help of a third teen to saw off Reynolds' head and arms and cut her torso in half. Her legs had come off when the body was partially burned. Police said Gregory led them to Reynold's body in various locations around Blackhawk State Historic Site in Rock Island and on Kolb's grandparents' farm.
